Dermatology, Southern Minnesota:  A multi-specialty group with a new four-story physician’s building attached to hospital is seeking a BE/BC Dermatologist.  Hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.  The Clinic is staffed by a minimum of two nurses and one physician.  On-Call coverage is provided by the Emergency Room.  Typical services provided by the Department of Dermatology include, but are not limited to, the following: diagnosis and treatment of skin rashes and skin lesions, mouth, hair and nail disorders, as well as surgical treatment of skin cancers.  Hospital consultations are provided on an as needed basis.  Diagnostic Imaging: Epiluminescence microscopy of pigmented skin lesions.  Light microscopy of dermatologic biopsies. Emergency Medicine, Southern Minnesota:   Multi-specialty group with multiple locations.  Large physician referral base.  Level II Emergency Room with 24 hour physician staff coverage with 4 other full-time providers.  No HMOs few PPOs.

Internal Medicine, Southern Minnesota:  The internists also provide consultative services for the other physicians within this 60-physician medical group.  Service is provided at the Medical Center clinic, hospital, emergency department, hemodialysis unit, cardiac rehabilitation, nursing homes, board and cares, patient's homes, and any other necessary locations in the community.  Specific services beyond consultations and follow up and routine care include:  Daily rounds in the adjoining hospital five or six days per week, call coverage rotation.  Nursing home rounds as scheduled and needed.  Stress testing, EKG review, and Holter monitor reading.  Pulmonary function test reading, screening sleep study reading (overnight oximetry), hemodynamic monitoring, and temporary pacemaker implantation as needed and credentialed.  Lumbar puncture, flexible sigmoidoscopy, thoracentesis, paracentesis, minor skin biopsy or treatments.  Intensive medical cares including ventilator management and thrombolytic use.

Physiatrist, Southern Minnesota:   Develop programs in area nursing homes, area school districts, sports medicine, pulmonary rehabilitation, cardiac rehabilitation (all phases) and Mayo Health System affiliate programs.  Performs and interprets EMG's (3-4 per week).  Treats 10-15 patients per day.  Patient makeup: 25% work related injuries, 20% medicare, balance of patients are private pay,    largely spine and musculoskeletal injuries.  Opportunity for intervential pain medicine, IME's if    interested.  Provides leadership to acute care rehabilitation unit and physical medicine outpatient clinic staffed with physical, occupational, speech therapists.  Works closely with Occupational Medicine    Department.  Actively participates in CARF accreditation process.

Psychiatrist, Southern Minnesota:  General multifaceted outpatient practice with geriatric (nursing home), general adult, and chemical dependency patients.  Hospital consultations to medical and surgical patients also provided.  Ability to expand to child/adolescent available if candidate is interested.  Provides services to five area nursing homes, outpatient practice, acute general hospital consultation, rehab unit consultation, and residential chemical dependency consultation.

No weekend or holiday call is required at this time.  Office practice is 4.5 days per week.  Nursing home patient rounding required.  Single-specialty group consists of two family practice physicians.
